With seven wins in nine games so far, Delhi Capital (DC) is currently second in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 table. Their latest test comes in the form of a rejuvenated Rajasthan Royals (RR) led by Sanju Samson. While DC scored a comfortable eight-wicket victory with 13 balls to spare against a struggling SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH), RR escaped with a narrow victory over Punjab Kings (PBKS) by just two runs. Both captains hope to put a stamp of authority on the game early on to determine terms that go deeper into the game.
Individual performances and a sharp team effort helped both teams to cross the border for a victory in their respective previous matches.

Pacers Kagiso Rabada en Anrich Nortje breaks the backbone of SRH in the initial overs and then comes back to limit the opposition in the overs.
Nortje received the man-of-the-match award for his game of two wickets for 12 runs in four overs. Rabada took three wickets.
RR, on the other hand, needed the help of youngsters like Yashasvi Jaiswal and Kartik Tyagi to achieve a victory. They are currently fifth in the standings with four wins and four losses in eight games so far.
