Alom player Ravindra Jadeja brought back the smiles in the excavation of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) as he collected 20 runs from the last four deliveries of the 19th game by Prasidh Krishna of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). The match tipped KKR’s favor strongly as they had to defend 26 runs in the last two overs, with MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina back in the pavilion. As Andre Russell is clearly struggling with an injury, KKR captain Eoin Morgan gave the ball to Krishna in the penultimate over.
The first two balls yielded only two runs as Krishna wanted to repay his skipper’s confidence in him. However, Jadeja thwarted other plans as he stroked after two consecutive sixes, followed by two boundaries.

This demoralizing lead did not stop Narine from taking two wickets in the final and stretching the match to the last ball.
Despite the fact that KKR made a comeback every time they found their backs against the wall, CSK managed to get past the finish line with one run needed from the last ball.
Jadeja was dismissed by LBW by Narine after an explosive knock of 22 runs in eight deliveries. Jadeja also had a good outing with the ball and took one wicket for 21 runs in four overs.
This victory puts CSK at the top of the IPL scoring while KKR is tentatively placed fourth.
CSK has eight wins and two losses in 10 games, while KKR has four wins and six defeats.
