India captain Virat Kohli on Sunday reached a coveted 10,000-mile milestone in all forms of T20 cricket (international, international and franchise) during his team Royal Challengers Bangalore IPL match against Indians from Mumbai in Dubai. Playing in his 314th T20 match, Kohli attracted his teammate, India, Jasprit Bumrah for six to reach the milestone in the fourth over after RCB was sent in to bat. Kohli, who will retire from the RCB captaincy at the end of this season, has entered 13 matches of 10,000 runs.
The 32-year-old played 298 overs before Sunday’s game and averaged 41.61 with five hundreds and 73 fifties.
His highest individual score was 113. His career hit rate was an impressive 134 plus.
