Rajasthan Royals and SunRisers Hyderabad collide IPL 2021 Monday at the Dubai International Stadium. After Rajasthan Royals got a shift in their first match in the UAE match, Delhi Capital were completely taken out of the class in their next match. With eight points from nine games, RR is still very much in the race for a playoff spot but their opponents on Monday, SRH, need a miracle to get into the top four.
SRH has won only one game this season, having played nine games and finished second in the league with just two points. Mathematically, they still have a chance to qualify for the playoffs, but they will need some results and win the rest of their matches.
SunRisers Hyderabad had a great time in IPL 2021, and a change in captaincy did not work. The batting has so far been unfortunate in the two matches in the UAE. David Warner has seen a shadow of his former self and could replace him with Jason Roy.
Also Kane Williamson could not shoot and SRH desperately needed him to return between runs. The people like Manish Pandey and Kedar Jadhav also struggled while Abdul Samad did not live up to expectations.
Jason Holder was in top form with both the bat and the ball for SRH in the previous game against DC, and they will hope he delivers similar performances going forward.
RR, on the other hand, faced the big escape against Punjab Kings thanks to a brilliant death ball by Kartik Tyagi, but DC was just too good for Sanju Samson’s team hit hard by withdrawals.
RR’s batsmen had a difficult time against Delhi Capitals, with only captain Samson making a significant contribution. Others will have to support him and raise their hands if RR has a chance to win the playoffs.
