Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus is cancer free after 6 months of treatment


Mark Hoppus celebrate a great victory! After a struggle of six months, the Knip 182 bass player shared that he is officially cancer free.

During the summer, he revealed that he had stage 4 diffuse large B-cell lymphoma and had been undergoing treatment since the spring.

On Wednesday, September 29, Hoppus unveils on social media that he met with his oncologist and everything became clear. “Thank God and the universe and friends and family all who sent support and kindness and love,” he wrote.

He said he still needs to be scanned every six months, but he feels grateful to get rid of the disease.

Hoppus, 49, reflected: “It will take me until the end of the year to be normal again, but today is a wonderful day and I feel so blessed. Can I get a W in the chat?”

His cancer, which occurs in white blood cells, has spread to four parts of his body, he said in July. The musician said at the time that he had undergone chemotherapy and that it was ‘absolutely sucking’.
