Rajasthan Royals pak Chennai Super Kings in the second of the two games on Saturday, with their play-off qualifiers hoping to hang a wire. CSK, who sit pretty much at the top of the IPL 2021 points table, have already qualified for the play-offs, but still have a lot to play for. CSK want to finish at the top of the rankings, but Delhi Capitals are hot on their heels and walks with only 2 points. RR, on the other hand, is currently seventh in the table and has everything to do to reach the playoffs.

Rajasthan Royals are currently on 8 points, and with three games left, they can score a maximum of 14 points. Punjab Kings (6th), Mumbai Indians (5th), Kolkata Knight Riders (4th) and Royal Challengers Bangalore are all above RR in the table and also have a better net run rate.

This allows RR with a mountain to climb. A loss for CSK will not mean its end, but it will mean they need other results in their favor to get a chance to qualify.

The Achilles heel for RR, at least in the UAE leg, was their batsman. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sanju Samson made consistent contributions, but the middle and lower middle order failed miserably, which cost the team dearly time and time again.

CSK does not have such a problem. The team of MS Dhoni is flying high with excellent performances from numerous players. The batting was led by the dynamic opening duo of Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf du Plessis.

The bowling was also brilliant. Dwayne Bravo was also exceptional, while Shardul Thakur, Ravindra Jadeja and Deepak Chahar all delivered timely breakthroughs.
