Why could not you, mr. President, to conclude the agreement with members of your own party on the most important parts of you legislative agenda last week? ”
Biden replied: ‘I was able to close the deal with 99% of my party. Two. Two people who are still on the go. I do not think there was a president who could closes transactions that position where he has only 50 votes in the Senate. And a mere majority in the Huse. It’s a process. It’s a process. We’ll get it right. ”
The president was asked if he blamed Manchin and Cinema, to which he replied: ‘Look, I need 50 votes in the Senate. I have 48. “
Joe Manchin has said he wants a deal. Sen. Cinema hides in a bathroom in the state of Arizona.
All the evidence indicates that an agreement will be reached. The president is right. He signed the deal with 99% of his caucus, and it’s only a matter of time until he gets Manchin and Cinema on board as well.
