Former President Bill Clinton was admitted to hospital on Tuesday night with a non-Covid-related infection.
“On Tuesday night, President Clinton was admitted to UCI Medical Center to receive treatment for a non-Covid-related infection,” Clinton spokeswoman Angel Urena said in a statement Thursday night. “He is in good spirits, and is incredibly grateful to the doctors, nurses and staff who provide him with excellent care.”
Reuters has confirmed Clinton was admitted to UCI Medical Center in Irvine, California (Orange County).

Urena shared a joint statement from doctors Alpesh Amin and Lisa Bardack with Fox News.
“President Clinton was taken to UC Irvine Medical Center and diagnosed with an infection,” the doctors wrote. ‘He was admitted to hospital for close monitoring and administered IV antibiotics and fluids. He remains in the hospital for continuous monitoring. ”
“After two days of treatment, the number of white blood cells decreases and he responds well to antibiotics,” the doctors added. The California medical team has been in constant communication with the president’s medical team in New York, including his cardiologist. We hope to have him go home soon. ”
