Rohit Sharma shows off his fans the brand new Indian jersey for the ICC T20 2021 World Cup

India’s vice-captain Rohit Sharma on Tuesday shared a beautiful video with his fans on Instagram, where he took a look at India’s new blue jersey for the ICC T20 World Cup. The jersey has Rohit’s name on the back, with the number 45 on it. India started their preparations for the tournament in a warm-up match in Dubai on Monday with a victory over England. Rohit did not play in the match as the team management decided to give people like Ishan Kishan and KL Rahul time. The first round of the tournament started on Sunday, October 17, in Oman. India begin their campaign against arch-enemies Pakistan on October 24 at Dubai International Stadium. Before the start of their campaign, an excited Rohit Sharma was seen showing off the Indian jersey at his hotel room, and now the video of the same is breaking the internet.

Rohit’s post was an instant hit on Instagram with several high-profile cricketers commenting on it.

Australian opener and former Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) David Warner was one of the first few to respond to the post.

“You’re copying my Tiktok,” Warner wrote with three laughing emojis.

“Very cute,” wrote Indian spin bowler Kuldeep Yadav.

Rohit’s Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Mumbai Indians (MI) wrote: “Jump in the # T20WorldCup mood like.”

Rohit Sharma was not part of the Indian team that faced England in the first warm-up match on October 18 at the ICC Academy Ground, Dubai. KL Rahul (51 runs off 24 balls) and Ishan Kishan (70 runs off 46 balls) chased 189 runs to win, scoring a good fifty when India beat England by seven wickets by six balls. Mohammed Shami took three wickets, while Jasprit Bumrah and Rahul Chahar each scored one wicket.

Spinner Varun Chakravarthy also misses India’s first warm-up match. India tackle Australia next week in their second warm-up match at the ICC Academy Ground, Dubai.
