Parents in two states Sue Biden AG Garland, defends the speech during school meetings

Parents in two states push back against U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland’s recent actions to target federal law enforcement at what are described as ‘threats’ to school boards.

Garland’s action comes after a nationwide rise in parents speaking out at school meetings against critical racial theory, COVID – related mandates and other issues.

Garland and the mainstream media characterize the increasing attention to what schools do as abominable, referring to increases in “threats” toward school board members and the like.

Parents in Loudoun County, Virginia School District and Saline Area School District near Ann Arbor, Michigan, have filed a lawsuit against Garland over what they say is “trying to criminalize free speech.”

This is what Pushback looks like

The lawsuit, filed on behalf of parents in the districts by the American Freedom Law Center, alleges that the policy drawn up by Garland caused “Irreparable damage, including the loss of their rights to free speech and expressive association.”

The case also claims that parents in both districts want to speak out … against the divisive, harmful, immoral, destructive and racist agenda of the ‘progressive’ left.

The parents essentially argue that the use of federal law enforcement against ordinary parents is little more than a covert threat, and this has led to a ‘cold effect’ that scares people into exercising their rights.

Loudoun County School District has has been in the national spotlight since May, when the district insisted that it did not teach critical racial theory (CRT), but rather instituted an ‘equality initiative’. Many parents have expressed concern that they are simply playing a semantic game and calling CRT by another name.

Where it started

The actions that led to the lawsuit filed by parents began when a group called the National School Boards Association sent a letter to President Joe Biden asking for an inquiry into parents who spoke at their local school board meetings about things like COVID restrictions and the teaching of CRT.

The group wanted to know if confrontations and “attacks” on councilors violated the Patriot Act. The NSBA went on to suggest that parental behavior may be “… equivalent to a form of domestic terrorism and hate crimes.”

Attorney General Garland, who used vague notions of an “increase in threats,” issued a memorandum on Oct. 4 directing the FBI and local law enforcement to address parents who may see it as a “threat” to executives. become, teachers or other school officials.

Problems in Loudoun County getting bigger

Currently Loudoun County the school district is accused of allegations that a male student – described in many shops as’ sex fluid ‘- sexually assaulted a ninth-grade girl in the girls’ bathroom at a school in the district and then transferred the student to another school where another assault allegedly took place.

The case eventually received attention when the father of one of the victims was forcibly arrested during a school board meeting, allegedly after a “confrontation” with another parent.

The school board meeting deals with a proposed school policy with which transgender students can choose their bathroom.

Loudoun County has become a focal point of the highly controversial upcoming election for governor of Virginia.

During a recent debate between the nominated Democrat, former Gov. Terry McAuliffe and GOP nominee Glenn Youngkin, McAuliffe got very annoyed with Virginia parents when he said, ‘I do not think parents should tell schools what to teach. not.’

Virginia parents go to the polls on Nov. 2 to elect a new governor. They may have a different idea about who runs the schools of Virginia.
