India tackles Pakistan on a long-awaited T20 World Cup Super 12 match Sunday in Dubai. This will be the first match for both teams in the T20 World Cup. And while India are unbeaten in five T20 World Cup matches against Pakistan, India’s captain Virat Kohli do not take things lightly. The Indian captain, who spoke a day before the match clash, said Pakistan had many game changers in their squad and that India needed to bring their ‘A match’ with them to get rid of them.

“Pakistan is strong, you have to play your best cricket against them every time. They have players who are exchangers. We definitely have to bring our A match against Pakistan with us,” Kohli said during the pre-match virtual press conference.

In the match, India is still sweating over the fitness of all-rounder Hardik Pandya. The 28-year-old played for the Mumbai Indians in the recent Indian Premier League (IPL) as a batting specialist, and did not bowl a single over in the UAE leg.

Hardik’s current inability to bowl has raised many questions about his place in the XI.

Virat Kohli said of Hardik that he is ‘getting better in terms of preparing to bowl’.

“We have talked about our combinations, but are not going to announce them now. We are confident in execution.”

“I feel Hardik is currently getting better with the preparation to do two overs for us. By the time he started bowling, we had created some options for us. What he offers at number 6, we can not create like that. something overnight, ”said the Indian captain.

India and Pakistan have previously clashed five times in T20 World Cups with the former winning all the matches.

India will want to pick up six in a row and lay down an early marker in the tournament.
