Hillary Clinton’s top aide Huma Abedin claims she was sexually assaulted by a US senator

Huma Abedin, a top assistant to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, claims in her forthcoming memoir that she was sexually assaulted in 2005 by a sitting U.S. senator.
The assault, according to extracts from her new book Both / And: A Life in Many Worlds, took place shortly after she attended the wedding of former President Donald Trump and his wife Melania.
Abedin worked for Clinton in Washington, DC at the time. Clinton served as New York’s U.S. Senator between 2001 and 2009.
Clinton, according to Abedin’s version, did not attend a dinner she attended with some senators and their assistants.
“I finally walked out with one of the senators, and soon we stopped in front of his building and he invited me for coffee,” she wrote. “When he was first inside, he told me to make myself comfortable on the couch.”
Abedin claims it was then that “it all changed immediately”.
“He dropped to my right, put his left arm around my shoulder and kissed me, pressed his tongue into my mouth, pushed me back on the couch,” she recalls. “I was so completely shocked, I pushed him away. All I wanted was for the last 10 seconds to be erased. ”
Abedin further noted that the senator in question apologized and suggested that he had “misread” the situation.

Huma Abedin claims she was sexually assaulted by senator
Huma Abedin does not give any names, details or even party affiliation of the senator who she claimed sexually assaulted her in 2005.
For those who are curious about who served in the Senate in 2005, here is a list.
Abedin claims she “buried the incident” and “completely” erased it from her mind.
That is until allegations of assault in 2018 were made by Christine Blasey Ford against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
Abedin claims the memory of her own assault came to the fore again when she read reports of how Ford “accused” of “conveniently” remembering her alleged attack.

Bill Clinton’s Own Sordid History
Abedin was allegedly spurred to recall her own sexual assault through the Ford-Kavanaugh story, but not the many allegations against her boss’ husband, former President Bill Clinton over the years.
Hillary had to constantly respond to similar and even worse accusations against Mr. Clinton.
The former president has been accused of multiple infidelities, sexual assaults, and even rape by Juanita Broaddrick, a former nursing home owner.
None of the stories told by those victims evoked her repressed memory of sexual assault by a former U.S. senator?
The true “American crime story” of persecution was hidden and concealed during the prosecution of Bill Clinton.

And none of the scandals in which her own husband was involved prompted her to remember what allegedly happened in 2005?
Anthony Weiner, a one-time New York mayoral candidate, was sentenced in 2017 to 21 months in prison and three years of release under supervision after sending sexually explicit messages to a minor girl.
Weiner served 18 months and was released in May 2019, but was ordered by a judge to register as a sex offender.

Instead, even with knowledge of the Bill Clinton allegations and the scandals surrounding Weiner, it was Ford’s testimony that reminded Huma Abedin that he was allegedly sexually assaulted in 2005.
Abedin’s memoirs will be available on November 2.
