Australia’s opening David warning said the rumors about his bad form are greatly exaggerated and he feels it’s quite ‘funny’ how people talk about it. Warner was recently dropped by his Indian Premier League (IPL) team SunRisers Hyderabad for his poor performance. Warner played a run of 14 runs against South Africa on Saturday in Australia’s opening match of the ICC T20 Men’s World Cup 2021 in Abu Dhabi. “From my perspective, I actually think people who talk about my form are quite funny. I laugh at the matter, because in the end I barely played cricket and then in the IPL I had two games and then they basically wanted to to give all the other young people a crack. ” Cricket.com.au told Warner.
“From my perspective, it’s good. And warm-up matches are warm-up matches for a reason. Now a days (against South Africa) I got my benchmark back with where I need to be with my feet and everything,” he added.
The opening batsman also said that he is absolutely ‘ready’ to continue in the tournament and he is also in ‘good shape’.
“I feel I’m in a good space, I hit the ball well into the nets, I could not be ready to go anymore. Now a days (against South Africa) I felt I was one border away from. a good turn, ”Warner said.
Australia will now face Sri Lanka for their next IKR T20 Men’s World Cup match on October 28 in Dubai.
