After taking a breather after the defeat against Pakistan in their opening match of the ICC T20 World Cup on Sunday, the Indian team returned to training ground on Wednesday. And it was impressive to see head coach Ravi Shastri show the way. Although there is no doubt that the loss against arch-enemy Pakistan was a blow to the campaign for the Men in Blue, the players looked in good spirits as they entered the locker room. A few players were even seen smiling and joking as they walked into the ICC Academy.
After missing the training session on the eve of the match against Pakistan, the versatile player Hardik Pandya was back on the training field. With the scan report of his shoulder looking good, he will now try to prepare for the must-win match against New Zealand Sunday at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Interestingly, some of the Pakistani players also stepped in at the same time to practice in the adjacent ground. The Pakistani outfit obviously carried a happy mood when they beat New Zealand on Tuesday to make it two wins in two matches for Babar Azam’s boys.
