T20 World Cup 2021: Australia’s Mitchell Starc rejects Sri Lanka’s Kusal Perera with a sensational Yorker. Look

Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc showed during his exceptional period why he is one of the most feared T20 bowlers in the world. Sri Lanka in the continuous T20 World Cup 2021 Thursday in Dubai. On the third ball of the 11th over, Starc bowled a deadly toe breaker that disturbed the stumps of the dangerous Kusal Perera. Sri Lanka were well placed at 86/2 when Starc executed a thumb-perfect yorker to bring his team back into the match.

The delivery was sincerely appreciated and even the official Instagram handle of the International Cricket Council (ICC) wrote:

“Mitchell Starc at his dazzling best. An electrifying yorker gets the upper hand from Kusal Perera, bringing an end to his discount of 35. # T20WorldCup | #AUSvSL.”

Starc finished with figures of 2/27 in its full quota of four overs and gave few batting chances to the batsmen.

The Sri Lankan team was eventually limited to 154/6 in their 20 overs when Adam Zampa bowled superbly to record figures of 2/12 in his four overs.

The Australian batsman endured his hype with opening batsmen David Warner and Aaran Finch adding 70 runs for the first wicket within seven overs.


Australia went over the finish line in 17 overs and by seven wickets and scored their second win in as many matches.

Sri Lanka, on the other hand, will have a lot to think about before their next match against South Africa on 30 October. Australia will face England later that evening.
