Better late than never!
Jay-Z officially joined Instagram. The recent Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction created an account on November 2, to the delight of fans around the world. The Instagram handle @jayz contains a flashback photo of the rapper before he became the global superstar he is today.
Within five hours of activating his new profile, the rapper had already picked up more than 1 million followers. It currently stands at 1.6 million (and still does). Jay-Z’s account even got an extra special follower: Beyoncé.
The queen had an active Instagram account for years where the total of accounts she followed stood at zero. Now the 40-year-old has added her husband to that list and helped him make some history again.
In the footsteps of his famous wife, the “Empire State of Mind” rapper just follows her. Jay-Z has been a bit social media savvy as he added to his stories and roster. From now on, the magnate’s page was only used to promote his latest film, The harder they fall.
