India vs Scotland: Virat Kohli wins draw on his birthday, Twitter can not stay calm

Virat Kohli had to breathe a sigh of relief when he was informed that he had won the toss in front of India’s. clash with Scotland in the Super 12 phase of the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup. Kohli lost in front of these three throws in a row, and India were asked to bat first on each of those occasions. It was expensive in the first two matches in Dubai, as India suffered crushing defeats at the hands of Pakistan and New Zealand and although India could not get their best match in the park on both occasions, dew and the shoot had a played a major role. It worked out well for India in their last match against Afghanistan, but that match was played in Abu Dhabi.

Back in Dubai for the Scotland match, the rubbing of the green went Kohli’s path on Friday and he decided the ball first. It should be noted that Kohli won the toss on a day when he celebrates his 33rd birthday. Asked how relieved he was to finally win the toss on his birthday, Kohli jokingly said he should have played his first game on his birthday instead.

“We’re going to bowl first. Dew is going to be a big factor. Try to limit them and chase it down. To win my first draw on my birthday, we probably should have played the first game on my birthday,” Kohli said.

India made just one change to its squad for the match. Spinner Varun Chakaravarthy has been included in the play-off squad in place of Shardul Thakur.
