CNN’s Jim Acosta said:
As dishonest as Trump can be, he can be remarkably candid. Which raises the question. Is not it time for the lawyer general to target Trump? Ask him. What he did, press those election officials and his overthrow own vice president the election results? You know he wants to talk. You know he wants to be dressed that stand. Maybe he’s going to shed a few tears hoping to swing the jury. He seems to be saying he’s just acted in self-defense. Maybe he’s getting a judge whose ringtone sounds like a song of a Trump rally.
Maybe he will for a inappropriate joke. Just so you know where he is stand. If our system of justice can not prevent people like Trump from our democracy by attack threats and intimidation such as a mob boss or even straight use violence, what is to stop it happens again? This democracy is just as strong as the people who are willing to protect this and if we do not protect it, we will make it happen again. What’s worse? Storm the Capitol or Lease do they get away with it? Let’s go, Department of Justice. We have been waiting for you.
1/6 committee does a better job of targeting Trump than the DOJ
It is unknown whether the DOJ is currently investigating Trump, but the Justice Department under Merrick Garland has expressed a reluctance to prosecute the former president.
Acosta is right, The center of political violence is Donald Trump. The heart of the attempted 1/6 coup is Donald Trump. If America is going to protect and save its democracy, the cancer must be removed, and that cancer’s name is Trump.
Is the Department of Justice waiting for Trump’s state and local prosecutors to take him down? These issues, although very important, do not examine the attempted coup by the former president.
Is the DOJ waiting for the 1/6 committee to refer Trump for prosecution? It can happen, but it’s at least months ahead.
The DOJ has the ability to act now, and by not doing so, they allow the man who can rightly be described as the Osama Bin Laden of American political terrorism to openly plan his next attack.
