Kraft Heinz recalls 82.5-ounce containers of Kool-Aid Tropical Punch blend because the flavored powder may contain small pieces of metal or glass.
Some of the Cabbage-Aid mixture was sold at Costco. A letter from Kraft Heinz to Costco said that those containers of the best-when-used blend are recalled by dates of 31 August 2023 and 1 September 2023 due to “the potential presence of foreign matter, specifically very small pieces of metal or glass. ”
The Kool-Aid can be returned to Costco for a refund.
The metal and glass were possibly brought in during the production process, a 11 Nov. letter to clients of Statler Bros. Markets, a West Coast grocery chain. The Cabbage-Aid mixture developed by Statler Bros. sold, has a 9-1-2023 date.
“The company discovered the problem during an internal review at the manufacturing facility,” the letter reads. “So far there have been no consumer complaints and no reports of illness or injury related to this issue.”
The best-when-used-by-dates can be found at the bottom of the packages. Consumers can contact Kraft Heinz with questions at (855) 713-9237.
