Pelosi on Paul Gosar’s censorship: “This is an emergency”

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-California) defend the decision on the part of the Democrats to censor Representative Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.) and said he may have committed criminal acts when he posted an animated video showing him killing Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (DN.Y.) and attacking President Joe Biden.

“Because it’s an emergency,” Pelosi told reporters in the Capitol.

“[There are] litigation in terms of the threat of a member and the threat of the President of the United States, ”she added. “We need to address this immediately, and I am so pleased that our members understand that it is central to our work in Congress that we protect the integrity of the House, of the institution, but also of the lives of our members.”

Democrats is expected to vote for a resolution today that would censor Gosar and cost him his seats on the House Review and Reform and Natural Resources committees.

Only two Republicans, Representatives Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) And Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.) Are expect to support the resolution.

Although Gosar removed the video from his Twitter account after severe setbacks, he refused to apologize for his actions.

Gosar’s digital director Jessica Lycos has discharge the controversy as a whole, saying it amounts to an overreaction from Gosar’s left-wing critics.
