Kyle Rittenhouse could face federal charges while Rep. Nadler calls for DOJ review

Judiciary committee chairman Jerry Nadler is appealing to the DOJ to review the Kyle Rittenhouse shooting for possible federal charges.
Rep. Nadler tweeted:
This heartbreaking ruling is a fallacy of justice and sets a dangerous precedent that justifies federal review by DOJ. Justice cannot tolerate gunmen crossing state lines in search of trouble while people engage in First Amendment-protected protests. https://t.co/Uh95Uc1Ddo

Kyle Rittenhouse has crossed state lines which means he could be federally charged
There are a wide variety of federal charges that Kyle Rittenhouse could face, including civil rights violations and potential hate crimes. The Rittenhouse trial was so tainted by the judge’s behavior that the case deserves a federal review.
The idea that a person with a loaded assault weapon can show up at a demonstration, kill two people, and then claim self-defense flying in the face of logic and common sense.
Attorney General Merrick Garland has made the protection of civil rights a priority at the Department of Justice. One can not think of a greater civil rights violation than to be killed while exercising your First Amendment rights.
The Rittenhouse case screams out for a DOJ review.
