Ghislaine Maxwell case for child sexual abuse opens with little media attention

The biggest child sex ring case in history kicked off this week with little attention from Big Media.

Reuters report at the beginning of the case:

When Ghislaine Maxwell leaves Manhattan’s federal court at the end of each day of her upcoming sex abuse trial, the British social member will return to a Brooklyn jail cell that she says is plagued by vermin and the smell of raw sewage.

Since her arrest in July 2020 on charges of caring for underage girls for the now-deceased financier Jeffrey Epstein for sexual abuse, Maxwell has been held in solitary confinement at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC), a jail where, according to several defense attorneys, conditions is substandard. .

Maxwell said that raw sewage had seeped into her cell, that her musty food had been fed and deprived of water, and that guards shone at her with flashlights at night, according to court cases. Her lawyer Bobbi Sternheim compared her cell to Hannibal Lecter’s, far from Maxwell’s luxurious life before arrest.

Maxwell cited the prison’s conditions in three of her four bail applications, all of which were denied by U.S. District Judge Alison Nathan, who called Maxwell a flight risk. Those denials were upheld twice on appeal.

Maxwell pleaded not guilty to six counts of sex trafficking and other crimes. Jury selection is underway, with opening declarations scheduled for November 29th.

Some people question why the biggest child sex ring case in history is not well covered by the Big Media.

Maxwell was the groomer for Jeffrey Epstein who died in prison in what looked like murder but was described as a suicide. Together, for years, they pushed underage girls on celebrities and political figures.
