Stacey Abrams runs for Georgia’s governor in 2022 as GOP nightmares come true

Republicans have shown their fear of Stacey Abrams for years since she was almost elected governor in 2018 and went on to build a formidable GOTV machine that changed Georgia in 2020. Now she’s back and running for governor again.

Abrams lost by 1.8% to Brian Kemp, then Secretary of State. There were a lot of dirty tricks and manipulations used by the state’s Republicans to deny Abrams the election that many feel she has won.

In 2021, Republicans in Georgia responded to the massive voter operation built by Abrams with a wave of voter oppression laws designed to make it harder to vote.

The voter oppression laws could have been titled the Stop Stacey Abrams Act, because that’s their true intent. There was no voter fraud in Georgia, just a highly motivated and capable electoral operation.

Donald Trump can not stop talking about Stacey Abrams. National Republicans fear that her voter organizations will spread to their red states and give the people a real vote.

Republicans fear Abrams, and now those fears have come true.

Stacey Abrams returns to complete the work in 2022.
