In addition to Sorkin’s quotes, The New Yorker Article also said that Strong allegedly “refuses to rehearse” at times and isolates himself from other cast members on the HBO program. “The result Jeremy gets is always pretty awesome,” co-star Brian Cox said of his process. “I’m just worried about what he’s doing to himself. I’m worried about the crises he’s putting himself in to prepare for.”
Cox het has since expanded on some of his statements. On Late Night with Seth Meyers, the actor explained, “The thing about Jeremy’s approach is that it works in terms of what comes out on the other side.”
He continued, “My problem — and, it’s not a problem, I do not have a problem with Jeremy, because he’s wonderful. … He’s an extraordinary father. He’s a pretty unique individual. .. But he becomes obsessed with the job. “
Prior to the publication of the article, Schulman tweeted, “Note: I reported a new New Yorker profile coming out tomorrow over six months and in three different countries. The subject is one of the most intense people I have ever met in my life.”
